Virginia Woolf: Essays and Fiction
Wednesdays, 5:45 - 7:45 pm
September 18 - November 20

This seminar approaches Virginia Woolf unconventionally. We will start and end with Woolf's first and last novels-The Voyage Out and Between the Acts-and use her autobiographical writings, shorter fiction, and longer essays to help us navigate the waters between. If you are new to Woolf, this course will introduce strange and energizing treasures; if you have read her modernist novels, this seminar will open your eyes to the greatness that pervades her oeuvre. Ten sessions, $220.

Matt Laufer holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and has taught literature at Columbia, Barnard College, and various college preparatory schools.
