Great Concertos Sold Out
Wednesdays, 2 - 4 pm
February 20 - May 1 (class will not meet April 17)

This is the second class in a Great Pieces of Music series in which we will cover some of the most spectacular works of music written from the twelfth to the twentieth centuries. In this seminar on concertos we will explore pieces by Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Copland, Gershwin, Ravel, Haydn, and Bach. We will conclude each session by considering the question, "why is this a great piece of music?" Ten sessions, $210.

Stephen Kleiman holds an M.M. in composition from the University of Michigan. An orchestra conductor in Europe and former music director of the National Chamber Orchestra in Washington, D.C., his CD "Chamber Music of Stephen Kleiman," will be released this spring.
