Celebrate 125 Years of Learning at the Newberry's Cobb Building

The Newberry's home at 60 West Walton, designed by Henry Ives Cobb, turns 125 this November. This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a gift to the Newberry to support our work and ensure that the Cobb Building remains a vibrant hub for the intellectually curious for another 125 years.

For each gift you make of $25 or more, you will have the opportunity to send a special e-card featuring the art seen above to friends or family.

This letterpress was created by Jennifer Farrell of Starshaped Press, Chicago. Jennifer Farrell was the Newberry's 2017-18 Weinberg Fellow and is currently researching typography, type specimens, and printed ephemera, as well as Chicago history through the lens of labor relations, women's work, and architecture. These studies are informing a portfolio of letterpress printed pieces currently in development at her Ravenswood studio. Learn more about Jennifer's work by visiting www.starshaped.com.

Thank you for your support this Giving Tuesday.
