Norse Mythology: Exploring the Eddas
Thursdays, 5:45 - 7:45 pm
September 22 - November 10

Take a tour through the Eddas, two medieval texts that are primary sources of information about Norse myth. We will explore tales of gods and goddesses such as mighty Thor, mystical Odin, and mysterious Freya as we examine the stories that inspired Richard Wagner, J.R.R. Tolkien, Led Zeppelin, and Marvel Comics. Eight sessions, $190.

Karl E. H. Seigfried's work appears regularly at The Norse Mythology Blog; the Chicago Humanities Festival calls him "a prolific chronicler of the world of Norse mythology."
